Lead Solutions Architect: Azure, Applications, Integrations, Data, Insurance

This leading Specialist insurer is undergoing a major IT transformation, establishing an agile framework and specialized product teams across the business. As the embedded Lead Solutions Architect, you will join a specialized Product team and take ownership of product solution architecture for the underwriting, actuarial, and business functions.

This is a transitional environment, requiring an agile approach to architecture. You will have worked in an Azure environment, with deep knowledge in application architecture and middleware integration. This is an ideal opportunity for a flexible Architect who thrives on developing new solutions for business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture design for applications, integrations, and data solutions that align with business goals and technology strategies.
  • Develop and support high-level and low-level architecture design for business products.
  • Develop strong relationships with Data & Analytics, IT, and Security and Engineering teams.
  • Play a leading role in the development of business Architecture Standards and Patterns.
  • Ensure and maintain Governance standards are adhered to when developing architectural frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Insurance or London Markets experience is required.
  • Experience developing IT architectures across Applications and Data that operate through SaaS.
  • Demonstratable experience designing and developing Cloud Solution Architecture, preferably Azure.
  • Ability to work in sprints and adopt an agile approach to architecture design.
  • Excellent communication, ability to effect change, and promote technology solutions across the wider business.
