Job Title: Validation and Verification Engineer

Alstom is seeking a skilled Validation and Verification Engineer to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our signalling engineering structure, you will be responsible for leading the V&V management activities across our project portfolio.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the V&V Management Lead Engineer with the implementation of V&V processes across the Alstom project portfolio.
  • Manage and undertake system engineering activities within the following areas: support of V&V Management Lead Engineer, delivery of V&V activities at project level, and provision of technical support and guidance to signalling, telecoms, and power teams.
  • Implement the organisation's system engineering management processes with project and design teams across multiple sites.
  • Support the V&V Management Lead Engineer in developing technical instructions to enable project V&V activities to be formally documented.
  • Mentor, coach, and train non-project staff on the use of tools and processes to support the development of formal V&V management within the UK environment.
Main Required Competences:
  • Degree or equivalent engineering qualification.
  • Previous experience of working within a system engineering process environment.
  • Experience of applying RSSB, Network Rail standards or equivalent rail infrastructure organisations.
