Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group assistance to students with diverse learning requirements, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities.
- Facilitate students' access to the curriculum, ensuring their active participation in classroom activities.
- Collaborate with educators to execute personalized learning plans (PLPs) and modify instructional materials to cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Support students in their social, emotional, and academic growth, fostering their confidence and self-worth.
- Assist in tracking and documenting student progress, offering constructive feedback to educators and the SEN coordinator.
- Help cultivate an inclusive and nurturing classroom atmosphere where every student feels appreciated and capable of reaching their potential.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in a Learning Support role or a similar capacity within an educational context is preferred.
- A compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor when supporting students with varied needs.
- Excellent communication abilities, with a knack for establishing positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- A proactive mindset, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
- A valid DBS check registered with the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.
