Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the efficient processing of goods into our warehouse in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the receipt, unloading, and inspection of incoming shipments to ensure accurate documentation and processing.
  • Lead a team of warehouse operatives to ensure inbound targets are met, and maintain high standards of inventory management.
  • Inspect shipments for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues and liaise with suppliers for returns or replacements when necessary.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into warehouse management systems (WMS) for all incoming goods.
  • Conduct regular stock counts to ensure that inbound inventory aligns with system data.
  • Identify areas for process optimization and collaborate with the warehouse manager to implement improvements in inbound workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during unloading and storage operations, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Generate inbound activity reports and provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs), including accuracy, efficiency, and processing times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role handling inbound operations.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and basic MS Office tools (Word, Excel).
  • Strong ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues that may arise with inbound shipments.
  • Ability to ensure accuracy in receiving, logging, and inspecting inbound goods.
  • Ability to lift, move, and organize inventory and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • A qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
