Job Title: Engineering Geologist

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist to join our team at Ian Farmer Associates. As a key member of our ground investigation team, you will be responsible for leading and managing ground investigation projects, including supervision of ground investigation crews, project management, and production of Phase 1 Desk Studies.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage ground investigation crews, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Lead and manage project teams, including geologists, engineers, and technicians.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including risk assessments and quality control measures.
  • Conduct site investigations, including trial pitting and logging of soil and rock.
  • Produce high-quality reports, including Phase 1 Desk Studies and Factual and Interpretive Reports.
Requirements:
  • Geology or earth sciences degree.
  • Proven experience in ground investigation and project management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
