Venatu Recruitment Group is working with a leading construction company to find a talented Design Manager to join their team. The company specializes in Offsite Construction Projects and is looking for a professional with expertise in designing and managing construction and manufacturing projects.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Interpret architects' drawings and ideas into comprehensive working construction and manufacturing drawings.
- Collaborate with architects and clients to understand and incorporate design intentions and requirements.
- Assist in pre-construction stages of design.
- Work with cost parameters of the estimates and use innovative design to reduce costs.
- Coordinate super structure design with main contractor and relevant subcontractors to ensure delivery of design functions are in line with planned manufacture and construction schedules.
- Liaise with structural engineer interpreting and responding to manufacturing queries, incorporating relevant feedback into the design process.

- Monitor and control of design amendments, ensuring all changes are documented and communicated effectively.
- Maintain high standards of design quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Assign tasks, monitor progress and provide guidance and support to team members.

**Requirements:**
- Relevant qualifications – HNC in Manufacturing/Construction/Engineering or similar.
- 3+ Years of Timber Frame, SIP, Closed panel timber experience.
- Good understanding of building regulations and RIBA stages of design.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- A passion for design and creative flair.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
