As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the performance of business-critical logistics accounts to deliver value in commercial, sustainability, and digital focus areas.
Key Responsibilities- Manage £multi-million worth of spend across various logistics subcategories, including fleet, freight, road transport, haulage, warehousing, 3PL, distribution, and automation.
- Develop and implement effective category strategies and lead strategic sourcing projects to extract value from long-term and high-value contracts.
- Collaborate with c-suite senior leaders and stakeholders to drive business growth and achieve procurement objectives.
- Utilize commercial acumen, negotiation, influencing, and communication skills to secure favorable contracts and manage relationships with suppliers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive in the market.
- Degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in a relevant field such as procurement, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in indirect procurement, preferably in the logistics, capex, MRO, transport, or facilities management categories.
- Proven track record of managing large logistics spend, contract management, stakeholder management, and commercial management.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, influencing, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with c-suite leaders.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with complex problem-solving.
- Relationship-driven and adaptable under pressure.
