We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Housing Needs Assessor to join our team at RCOT Publication Group. As a Housing Needs Assessor, you will play a critical role in assessing the health and housing needs of applicants seeking social housing in Bristol.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of applicants' health and housing needs, identifying those with the highest health, mobility, and complex support needs.
  • Work in partnership with internal and external teams and services to develop creative solutions to complex cases.
  • Collaborate with health professionals, services, and agencies to determine housing need, priority, and other solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, housing providers, and community organizations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to applicants, ensuring they receive the support they need to access suitable housing.

Requirements:

  • Recognized health qualification (e.g. nursing, social work, or related field).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify complex needs and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and travel.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
