**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Technical Training Specialist to join our Training and Competence team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and continually improving technical and operational training programs for our railway systems.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and deliver training programs for electrical systems, including sub-systems of Stadler rolling stock, Personal Track Safety, Designated persons, and Depot Driving.
  • Support the production team by providing coaching and mentoring on new fleets, ensuring staff maintain high standards of work and technical expertise.
  • Assist in the development of technical instructions and procedures, and ensure that training, assessment, and coaching content is amended or developed as required.
  • Ensure that training methods, standards, facilities, and equipment remain fit for purpose to support effective delivery.
  • Identify training equipment requirements and assist in the creation of new equipment to support training staff.
  • Support the Training & Competence Management team to identify training needs for roles across the business.
  • Undertake high-quality assessments and make decisions, providing feedback to candidates.

**Requirements**

  • NVQ/BTEC Level 3 in a relevant Engineering discipline (preferably Electrical bias).
  • Experience in fault finding, including remote and off-platform diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Experience of applying coaching, mentoring, or instructional skills in the workplace.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office packages.
  • Proactive attitude with willingness to travel.
  • Experience of working on new rail vehicles.
  • Experience of systems such as Vehicle Control, Digital Networks, Communication, and Positioning, Safety Systems, HVAC, Propulsion, PIS, CCTV, and Door Systems.
  • Training Qualification (or willing to work towards).
