Role Objective:

  • Offer Instrumentation and Control Engineering expertise to the operational teams.
  • Implement engineering modifications within the primary discipline.
  • Contribute technical insights to the Projects division.
  • Ensure adherence to Unity Performance Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Identify and execute enhancements to instrumentation systems.
  • Serve as the main contact for site-related projects.
  • Drive improvements in plant reliability within the discipline.
  • Establish and manage the asset's spare parts strategy.
  • Assist with maintenance schedules and emergency repairs.
  • Provide technical assistance for Turnaround (TAR) activities.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the incident management team.
  • Travel to offshore platforms for technical assistance.
  • Manage periods of inconvenience during scheduled outages.
  • Participate in the self-audit program.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrument Engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status is required.
  • Certifications necessary for offshore operations.

Essential Experience:

Minimum of 5 years in the Oil & Gas, Refining, or Chemical sectors.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with legacy instrumentation, control systems, and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems.

Industry Knowledge:

Comprehensive understanding of UK regulatory and industry standards.
