About the Role

BSI is seeking an experienced Electrical Certification Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Certification Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the effective management and development of a portfolio of Certification Schemes within the Electrical stream.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Delivery: The Electrical Certification Specialist will plan, prioritize, and supervise their own work to ensure all certification applications are processed timely and effectively.
  • Technical Reporting: The Electrical Certification Specialist will review technical reports and make certification recommendations.
  • Project Delivery: The Electrical Certification Specialist will deliver projects and maintain accurate project plans to ensure business finances are accurately reflected and accurate forecasts of revenue are provided.
  • Client Relationships: The Electrical Certification Specialist will develop and maintain excellent relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Global Travel: The Electrical Certification Specialist may be required to travel globally to support business development growth and client certification requirements.

Requirements

  • Detailed knowledge of International, European, or British Standards and/or other relevant documents and procedures.
  • Expert knowledge of relevant product-related legislation and European Directives.
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant technical subject.
  • Knowledge of quality requirements detailed in relative international good-practice documents.
  • Experience of EMC Compliance Testing/Directives and/or IECEE CB Schemes would be a major advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused and solution-oriented.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Familiarity with office IT systems and their application to commercial and technical processes.
  • Experience in monitoring budgets and maintaining cost control.
