Shift Pattern: This position requires full-time commitment across a 7-day schedule.

Working Hours Update: From a specified date, NHS Scotland will implement a reduction in the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours, maintaining the same pay structure. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time employees. Consequently, this job listing and any subsequent employment offer will reflect the new working hours. However, due to the phased implementation across various service areas, candidates may be required to work an additional 30 minutes weekly temporarily, for which compensation will be provided until the service adjusts its rosters or working patterns.

Role Overview: The QEUH Adult theatre suite features state-of-the-art facilities catering to a variety of specialties, including General Surgery, Urology, Renal, Vascular, Orthopaedic Elective, ENT, Gynaecology, Trauma, and Emergencies. Our Stores and Instrumentation team plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective and efficient utilization of surgical supplies and instrumentation, thereby supporting a high-quality service for theatre users.

We are seeking to appoint a motivated Band 3 Supplies Coordinator to enhance and develop our service, collaborating closely with the Supplies Co-ordinator and Supplies Manager. Essential qualifications include experience in supplies management and/or theatre stores. Familiarity with people management and NHS IT systems is highly desirable for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team while also managing individual workloads independently.
  • Act as a deputy for the store's co-ordinator during their absence.
  • Engage in multi-site operations within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to meet service demands.
