About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Communications Manager to join our team at the Betting and Gaming Council. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for managing our digital presence and ensuring that our online communications are effective and engaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Digital and Social Media Management
    • Work with the Director of Communications to develop and implement a multi-channel communications strategy across digital and social media platforms.
    • Manage the creation and delivery of digital content, including updating and regularly reviewing the BGC website.
    • Establish and manage monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes to measure the impact of our digital profile across all platforms.
    • Use evaluation data to optimize our digital communications and maximize positive engagement.
  • Other Communications and Management
    • Assist with the creation and delivery of internal and membership content to ensure effective communication of BGC's work.
    • Assist with drafting press releases, blogs, and other content as necessary.
    • Be the primary point of contact for media and communications, responding to urgent issues as they arise.
    • Work with the Director of Communications to identify new strategies and techniques to promote and enhance the reputation and positive profile of the BGC and its members.
  • External Relations
    • Establish and maintain relationships with BGC members, the media, and other external stakeholders.
    • Proactively seek opportunities to build relationships with external stakeholders, including journalists, influencers, and other media stakeholders.
  • Internal Relations
    • Work with other team members to support the effective delivery and communication of workstreams from our strategic plan.
    • Provide advice to senior colleagues on digital innovation and advances that may improve BGC's digital work.

  • Proven track record of effective planning, delivery, and evaluation of digital communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
  • Proven record of producing high-quality creative digital content.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work flexibly.
  • Positive, proactive, and engaging team player with strong influencing skills.
