This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to become part of the regional commercial team.

Your role will involve supporting the daily commercial operations of projects, primarily from the office, with occasional site visits.

This position will report to a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor, offering outstanding training, mentorship, and career growth.
Key responsibilities include ensuring optimal commercial returns for the projects.

  • Assist in preparing accurate cost/value reconciliation reports.
  • Prepare and negotiate interim valuations at scheduled intervals to secure the best commercial outcomes for the organization.
  • Aid in final account agreements with subcontractors to enhance project profitability.
  • Ensure subcontract orders are generated in line with company protocols, referencing procurement schedules and contract timelines, while obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Maintain oversight of subcontractor accounts and minimize costs associated with variations.
  • Execute quantity surveying duties on assigned projects as directed.
  • Strive to achieve optimal commercial returns for the projects under your management.
  • Prepare or assist with monthly cost/value reconciliation reports, accurately reflecting the projected final financial status of the project.
  • Develop turnover cash flow forecasts as instructed by your line manager at the start of all projects, updating as necessary and documenting actual valuations against forecasts.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 12 months of experience within either a national or regional construction firm, whether as a main contractor or developer.

  • Proven experience in residential projects is advantageous.
