Job Title: Senior Building Surveyor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing and providing a range of building surveying and project management duties across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide building surveying and project management services across multiple projects and sectors.
- Assist in the development of new and repeat business across all sectors.
- Manage client relationships and service delivery on a project-by-project basis.
- Support senior managers in the day-to-day running of the business.
- Perform project management and contract administration duties for larger projects.
- Conduct condition and measured surveys, design and implement small to medium-sized projects, and undertake due diligence surveys.
- Apply standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
- Stay up-to-date with industry issues and best practices.
- Manage teams and deliver commissions under framework agreements.
- Experience in sectors including education, local authorities, healthcare, central government, and infrastructure projects.
- Analyze defects, conduct building surveys, and produce professional reports and specifications.
- Understand quality, safety, and environmental principles within project management.
- Deliver pre- and post-contract project management services.
Requirements:
- BSc (Hon's) Building Surveying or equivalent qualification.
- Full member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Good all-round surveying experience.
- Experience in pre- and post-contract project management responsibilities.
- Good team working skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Prepared to travel as required.
- Liaise with senior colleagues to build a profitable service and positive team environment.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit an advantage.
- Awareness of BIM systems.
- Mentor APC graduates.
- Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
