Position Summary

We are excited to announce an opportunity within our dynamic Assessment Research and Analysis team, part of the English Language Teaching division. The Assessment Research and Analysis Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the team’s initiatives, focusing on the design and ongoing validation of English language assessments that align with our division's mission and values. This position also involves documenting, enhancing, and automating research and analysis methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the design and validation processes of English language tests.
  • Documenting and improving research and analysis workflows.
  • Automating processes to enhance efficiency.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, you should possess strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities. Additionally, the following qualifications are essential:
  • A Master's degree or published research in language assessment, computational linguistics, applied linguistics, or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in English Language Teaching assessment.
  • Proficiency in managing and analyzing large datasets.
  • Advanced skills in Excel for data manipulation.
  • Programming experience in Python, R, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with Rasch measurement principles.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following skills are advantageous:
  • Experience with software for conducting Rasch analysis (e.g., WINSTEPS, FACETS).
  • Knowledge of various statistical techniques applicable in social sciences.
  • Understanding of natural language processing, educational data mining, or learning analytics.
  • Familiarity with PowerBi or SQL.
