Clinical Pathway Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pathway Manager to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our patient RTT and Cancer journey from referral to discharge.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in administrative and clerical services, with experience of managing a team of administrative staff. You will be responsible for leading a team of patient navigators and ensuring that coordinated and streamlined administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs.
Main Responsibilities:- Supervise the day-to-day work of the divisional administrative teams in the Gastroenterology department.
- Ensure that patient navigators and other members of the administrative team adhere to Trust policies and standard operating procedures at all times.
- Support the Operations/Service Managers team with any reasonable management requests.
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values.
- Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience.
- RSA 2 or RSA 3 word processing/typing or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- English and Math at GCSE level or equivalent.
- Strong working knowledge and proficient in the use of Outlook package - PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Word as well as Access, email, Internet.
- Knowledge of Cerner.
- Courses / further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent customer care practice, being polite, sympathetic, patient and diplomatic.
- Ability to confidently interact and share knowledge with staff at all levels.
- Awareness of National and Trust pathway targets (such as 18 week RTT target).
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
The salary for this role is £34,521 to £41,956 per annum inclusive of HCAS.
