The successful candidate will be registered with the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and will fulfill the requirements set forth by the College. The Trust is committed to funding the CPD of the post holder up to a maximum of £400.00 annually. The selected individual will be expected to engage in research activities and contribute to the Research & Development initiatives within the London North West Healthcare NHS Trust.

Candidate Profile

Education & Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • MRCOG or equivalent qualification
  • Completion of CCT
  • ATSM in Advanced Labour Practice
  • Full GMC registration as a Medical Practitioner
  • Benign Gynaecology ATSM

Desirable Criteria

  • Additional higher qualifications such as MD, PhD, MRCS or equivalent
  • Qualification in Medical Education
  • BSCCP certification
  • Hysteroscopy training
  • Experience in Acute Gynaecology
  • Advanced scanning skills

Knowledge & Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Proficiency in the education and training of specialist registrars
  • Familiarity with national guidelines for maternity services
  • IT and computer literacy
  • Valid driving license
  • Experience in teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates, and junior medical staff
  • Evidence of audit preparation and presentation
  • Interest in participating in research initiatives
  • Understanding of research methodologies and critical appraisal
  • Experience in Outpatient Hysteroscopy

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of SBL care bundle
  • Organizational experience
  • Ability to implement and develop research projects
  • Evidence of conducting research and submitting for publication
