Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Service Care Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial management of our client's housing association, including financial reporting, budgeting, and rent accounting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including trial balance reconciliation and annual financial statements.
  • Budgeting: Lead the budgeting process for annual rent increases and ensure accuracy of rental transactions and rental accounts within the Dynamics system.
  • Rent Accounting: Manage the rent accounting process, including formula rent, affordable rents, and other related tasks.
  • Team Management: Supervise a team of financial officers responsible for accounts payable, banking, and rent accounting.
  • Project Management: Contribute to project working groups as required, with a focus on implementing the Dynamics/Redkite automated rent uplift solution.
  • Training and Development: Lead regular training sessions on social rent accounting and budgeting processes.
  • Internal Audit: Participate in the year-end and internal audit process, producing data flows and trails to support all areas of reporting.

Requirements:

  • Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent with extensive PQE.
  • Experience of reporting within the social housing sector, with an understanding of technical accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Experience of working on rent accounting within a social housing environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience of operating at a senior level, with high-level financial reporting and presenting skills.
  • Great communication skills and ability to work professionally and adapt to any team fit.
