About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our Rollon/Skips department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an effective daily transport plan, managing fleet resources, and ensuring business requirements and customer satisfaction are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a daily transport plan to optimize fleet resources and ensure customer satisfaction.
  2. Review and allocate jobs for the Roll-on/skip fleet to maximize operational and logistical performance.
  3. Support the optimization of fleet resources and operations to improve profitability and customer service.
  4. Assist the Head of Rollons with transport activities, including road transport compliance policies and procedures.
  5. Manage a team of drivers in line with Company policies and procedures.
  6. Ensure all queries within the transport operation are dealt with in a timely manner.
  7. Coordinate with fleet workshops over maintenance of vehicle defects.
  8. Input job requests accurately onto the AMCS system.
  9. Liaise with Fleet Compliance and Health and Safety teams to investigate accidents and incidents.

Person Specification:

We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational and planning skills, excellent communication and people management skills, and a good geographic knowledge of London and the South East. Previous experience in a planning role in a busy transport office environment is essential.

Desirable:

A knowledge of AMCS operating systems, HGV Licence, and CPC would be advantageous.
