Position Overview

Commercial Counsel (UK Qualified) with Relevant Experience

Permanent Role

Location: Theale/Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)

Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the UK without sponsorship

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive legal support, advice, and insights to the Sales, Commercial, and Marketing teams on various commercial issues, including disputes, intellectual property, and technology matters, along with drafting and negotiating contracts as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Commercial Counsel on significant and priority transactions, overseeing external legal service providers and managing legal expenditures as needed.
  • Report to and assist the Senior Commercial Counsel in enhancing innovation and efficiency within the commercial legal framework.
  • Establish and maintain robust working relationships with internal teams and external partners, including shareholder and customer legal representatives.

Qualifications:

  • Solicitor qualified in the UK with a solid background in commercial law practice.
  • Extensive experience in handling commercial contracts.
  • 3-6 years of post-qualification experience in commercial transactions.
  • Experience in a dynamic in-house legal environment.
  • Current practicing certificate as a solicitor.
  • Excellent interpersonal and project management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to foster strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of commercial dynamics.
  • Familiarity with Technology, Marketing, and Intellectual Property contracts.
