Job Title: Children Services Team Manager - Children with Disabilities

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Children Services Team Manager to lead our Child Development Service at Woodfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and being accountable for the day-to-day running of the service.

About the Role

The post holder will provide strong clinical and professional leadership for Woodfield Child Development Services, which include Specialist Nurses, Child Psychologists, Children's Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapy, Paediatricians, Physiotherapy, Medical Secretaries, and Pathway Coordinators.

Main Duties
  • Line manage the Specialist Nurses for Child Development, Child Psychology Team, and CDS Admin Team.
  • Work with Service Managers for CYPOT, Physio, and SLT to coordinate service delivery.
  • Work with Paediatricians to coordinate CDS service delivery.

Qualifications
  • Professional qualification
  • Current Registration with professional body
  • Broad clinical experience relevant to the post
  • A proven track record of operational service management at a senior level in an acute and community environment, including staff management, financial management, and change management.
  • Evidence of equivalent knowledge and experience to Masters level
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development with evidence
Experience
  • Demonstrable previous success in leading and delivering change and performance with and through clinical teams, by engaging them in the strategic direction and delivery plans, establishing clear work priorities with them, delegating effectively, ensuring a capability to deliver monitoring performance and giving feedback.
  • A good understanding of the changing NHS environment
  • Experience of managing health teams
  • Experience of managing staff performance
  • Experience of workforce planning and knowledge of clinical governance
  • Experience of working collaboratively with a variety of agencies and professionals
  • Experience of complex Safeguarding provision, training, and supervision
  • Experience, understanding, and application of research
  • Experience of participating in the recruitment and selection of staff
  • Experience of Audit and Risk Management
