Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Nurse to join our team at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with a focus on colorectal care. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring systems and processes to ensure that patient needs are comprehensively assessed, appropriately planned, effectively implemented, and evaluated according to changing health care needs and varying levels of complexity.
You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that patient needs are met, especially in relation to ongoing care needs and discharge arrangements. Your excellent communication skills and ability to make evidenced-based clinical decisions within defined protocols or guidance will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and monitor systems and processes to ensure comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Communicate complex information to medical colleagues.
- Prioritize patient care, supervising and allocating your own workload, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of care within pre-determined guidelines.
- Supervise the treatment and management of patient care.
- Promote patient and public involvement in the improvement of services, and involve patients and carers/relatives in the planning and delivery of their care.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team/agencies to ensure that patient needs are met, especially in relation to ongoing care needs and discharge arrangements.
We are looking for an experienced practitioner with decision-making ability, responsibility, and accountability who contributes to the leadership, education, development, and supervision of others. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of clinical experience, significant post-registration at a senior level in this specialty, and a degree.
Evidence of advanced knowledge and practice, excellent communication skills in difficult situations, and the ability to make evidenced-based clinical decisions within defined protocols or guidance are essential for this role.
