Deputy Care Home Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to join our team at The Recruitment Crowd (Yorkshire) Ltd. As a Deputy Care Home Manager, you will play a vital role in assisting the Home Manager in the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring the provision of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Home Manager in managing the care home's operations, including overseeing the care staff and assuming full management responsibilities in their absence.
  • Train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct pre-admission assessments of residents, ensure accurate and up-to-date care plans and daily records, and foster effective communication with residents' families and external organizations.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with care professionals, families, visitors, and staffing teams.
  • Promote ownership of care programs by involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing, and implementing care plans.

Requirements:

  • Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
  • Ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide excellent care services.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
