Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our client, a rapidly growing and dynamic company, as they continue to expand their operations in the UK and internationally. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a critical role in driving the company's financial strategy and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast model and reporting pack, providing timely and accurate financial insights to stakeholders.
    • Responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Vendor Management and Payments
    • Oversee vendor payments and associated approvals, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Creation of monthly working capital reporting, interpreting and communicating insights and issues to stakeholders.
  • Financial Systems and Processes
    • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure system records are accurate and any issues are resolved.
    • Responsible for creating key policies and procedures, including Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Inventory, and Treasury.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Filing of the monthly UK VAT return, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Ensuring third-party agencies have the required information to file VAT returns in the Netherlands.
    • Responsible for daily bank reconciliations and business banking, across multiple currencies.
  • Audit and Compliance
    • Leading on the annual audit, working closely with the top 10 audit firm conducting the audit.
    • Creation of quarterly Board working capital reporting for the CFO.
  • Payroll and HR
    • Responsible for UK payroll, run in-house, and non-UK payrolls, processed by third-party agents.
    • Requirement to feed into the FP&A team to aid management accounts accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant with a strong background in financial management and analysis.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
