About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of civil and structural design deliverables, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and customer-specific standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team and act as the project's single point of authority and accountability for the CS&A engineering discipline.
  • Develop and manage/maintain good working relationships with key counterparts in client or partner organisations.
  • Prepare and review quality plans for multi or single discipline work packages.
  • Ensure designs are compliant with CDM regulations and have designer responsibility under CDM.
  • Present CS&A engineering designs to clients and key stakeholders.
  • Mentor a team of engineers/designers to improve their own skill sets and enhance the company's capabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Chartered Member of the ICE.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in industry, ideally 2+ years in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated sector.
  • Detailed knowledge of standards, regulations, codes, and directives and how they should be applied.
  • Proven knowledge of the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of CS&A design.
  • Broad experience of civil construction and construction management.
  • Strong knowledge of designing for seismic, blast, and impact load effects.
