Job Description:

Overview

This role entails providing assistance for moderately intricate technical and team leadership tasks associated with system and database management.

Key Responsibilities

Conducts moderately complex system and database management. Monitors and optimizes systems to ensure peak performance levels. Manages software installations and upgrades along with related software packages at an appropriate level. Gathers and evaluates system data for capacity planning. Analyzes capacity metrics and formulates capacity strategies for enterprise-wide systems. Collaborates with relevant management to implement changes. Aids in the design and configuration of sophisticated system architectures. Facilitates complex data/media recoverability through system backups and database archiving. Plans and directs data refresh strategies. Supervises, recommends, and implements database solutions and enhancements to improve system reliability and performance. Applies necessary support packages and patches to uphold system integrity. Develops and maintains comprehensive system documentation to ensure its currency. Oversees the upkeep of a library of system-supporting processes and procedures. Engages with client management to address inquiries, issues, and requests concerning complex system challenges. Provides leadership and guidance to junior personnel.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related discipline preferred Six or more years of experience in a client-server setting Proficient in complex systems administration, database management, and landscape maintenance Familiarity with company products and services Knowledge of company and client documentation and storage protocols Experience with complex system implementations and organizational workflows
