Deputy Nursery Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team at Paint Pots Nurseries & Pre-Schools. As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pre-school and providing a high-quality learning environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assume responsibility for the daily operation of the pre-school in the absence of the Manager.
  2. Develop and maintain a good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, the Inspection Handbook, Ofsted, and Local Authority requirements.
  3. Ensure the setting is a safe and clean environment for children, staff, and others.
  4. Develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development.
  5. Work closely with the Manager, SENDCo, and the wider support team to ensure high standards of care and education.
  6. Assist the Manager and staff in providing a dynamic, active learning environment for the children.
  7. Be responsible for the maintenance of records and the assessment and recording of development, progress, and attainment for every child.
  8. Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the setting, alongside the Manager.
