About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager/Director, Procurement and Vendor Management to join our team at George Clinical. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong vendor relationships, as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve seamless collaboration between vendors and project leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Vendor Management: Organize and lead procurement activities, including managing and tracking the request for proposal (RFP) lifecycle, negotiating preferential pricing, establishing and tracking towards savings targets, and performing other commercial and transactional activities.
  • Cost Reduction and Optimization: Identify cost reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives.
  • Procurement Strategy and Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Develop tools and processes to support efficient and quality-driven procurement activities.
  • Industry Knowledge and Trends: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the industry's market trends and developments.
  • Transformational Leadership: Lead transformational activities to build organizational procurement capabilities and improve procurement efficiency.
  • Process Automation: Implement measures to optimize procurement processes, such as contract standardization and automation.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Track and analyze procurement data to identify trends and areas for improvement, while collaborating with finance and other departments to develop and monitor cost-saving initiatives.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and agreements.
  • Vendor Selection and Risk Assessment: Advise on contract negotiations, vendor selection, and risk assessment, while collaborating with key internal stakeholders in addressing complex procurement issues.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance in purchasing process, especially in vendor selection and bidding.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Category Management/Strategic Procurement/Vendor Management, with IT Category Management experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong contract management skills and ability to foster and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to procurement processes.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
  • Experience in clinical vendor operational delivery or hands-on experience in managing clinical vendor services.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including sponsors, in the development and finalization of vendor scope of service.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting difficult conversations and negotiating with sponsors and vendors.
