About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Business Support Unit as a Business Support Assistant. The successful candidate will work as part of a Business Support Hub, providing efficient and effective administrative support to our Children Services teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to our Children Services teams, including word processing, minute taking, and data entry.
- Work with a range of colleagues and external agencies to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Undertake a variety of tasks, including finance and purchasing functions, using Microsoft Office packages.
- Develop and maintain accurate and timely records, observing confidentiality in all aspects of work.
- Travel around the borough to support our teams and services.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Administration, Business, or IT (or 6 months equivalent experience).
- Experience of working with information databases and good IT skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to produce accurate and timely minutes of meetings.
- Observation of confidentiality in all aspects of work.
- Ability to travel around the borough in a timely manner.
