About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and evaluate mental health care and treatment interventions
  • Develop and implement effective care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to colleagues and other healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
  • Participate in service development activities and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Professional mental health qualification (e.g., RMN, BSc/Diploma in OT, Chartered Clinical Psychologist)
  • Current registration with a professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC)
  • Trained and registered as an Approved Clinician
  • Masters-level qualification in health/social care or equivalent experience
  • Independent and supplementary prescribing qualification
  • Experience of working in a senior clinical position (Band 7 and above)

Desirable Criteria

  • Advanced physical healthcare assessment qualification
  • Therapeutic psychological interventions qualification
  • Experience of working with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies
