Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Counsel to join our team at Law Absolute. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to our clients in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal advice on commercial contracts, employment law, charity law, governance, and student-facing matters
  • Lead and manage the legal services team, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to support the growth and success of our clients
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of legal services
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations, providing expert guidance to clients

Requirements

  • UK-qualified solicitor, admitted to the SRA for England and Wales and holding a current practising certificate
  • At least 5 years' experience working in the education sector, with a strong background in commercial law
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to commute to the office on a hybrid basis
