Job Summary

We are seeking a Passenger Assistant to join our team at Norse Group. As a Passenger Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support and care to passengers on our buses, ensuring their safety and well-being during transit.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of passengers, actively following safeguarding procedures and reporting any concerns.
  • Work with passengers who may exhibit challenging behavior, using sensitivity and calmness to manage situations and minimize their impact on others.
  • Handle difficult situations involving passengers with complex needs, ensuring their secure seating and reporting any vehicle hygiene issues.
  • Act as the first point of contact between passengers, parents, carers, and staff, providing a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Inspect and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, reporting any issues to ensure a comfortable and secure environment for passengers.

Requirements

  • Have sufficient command of spoken and written English.
  • Be able to meet the ongoing and changing needs of clients and customers.
  • Experience working with passengers with complex needs is an advantage.
