We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological services to children and young people with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist assessment, formulation, and intervention to children and young people with mental health needs.
- Contribute to the development of service and therapeutic initiatives, including the design and delivery of group work programs.
- Offer clinical supervision and host training placements for the DClinPsy program.
- Contribute to teaching on the DClinPsy program.
- Support the multidisciplinary team (MDT) by offering consultation, supervision, in-house training, and contributing to reflective practice and case discussions.
Within our CAMHS Outpatient service, you will work with a variety of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, systemic, psychodynamic, narrative, EMDR, and ACT. You will also have opportunities to deliver group work as part of the group work program, for which training will be provided.
In our CAMHS Learning Disability team, you will provide person-centered, systemic-orientated support packages for children and young people with intellectual developmental disabilities and their families. You will also have opportunities to develop the role of psychology in this post and strengthen existing links with the Outpatient service.
In our CAMHS Eating Disorder team, you will work with young people and their families and carers to provide specialist assessment and intervention for eating disorders. You will work within an MDT to provide group, individual, and family-based interventions for children and young people with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, and OSFED diagnoses.
