Job Summary

We take pride in developing high-quality solutions in a demanding and highly competitive industry. As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Exegy, you are on the critical front-line of upholding the standards of product quality and reliability that our customers demand.

You are detail-oriented, thorough, and creative. You will mentor other team members and lead by example to uphold or raise the QA standard. You work well with both local and remote teams, are a great communicator, and take pride in helping build and improve our products and our customer's user experience.

Responsibilities
  1. Contributing to the full test lifecycle, including analysis & design, implementation, test execution, and release processes;
  2. Management of tasks and projects to agreed deadlines;
  3. Risk management of projects, reliable project delivery;
  4. Work with cross-functional team members to advise and ensure appropriate QA occurs;
  5. Strong client focus, with an emphasis on quality and stability in line with service level agreements;
  6. Mentor junior team members on QA processes, technology, and business domain.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years' experience overall in software engineering and/or quality assurance;
  2. 3+ years' experience in software development or test automation;
  3. Capital-markets and/or Financial Services knowledge (Trading, Market Data, protocols);
  4. Experience using Python and Jenkins (An understanding of C++ is a bonus);
  5. Cross-platform experience (Linux and Microsoft Windows);
  6. Experience in QA of both UI and API or message-protocol based interfaces;
  7. Deep understanding of proven QA techniques and process;
  8. Experience of testing of development of financial, transactional or message-based systems;
  9. Degree in Computer Science, Software or Electrical Engineering or other related discipline; or a proven track record of QA and/or software development experience in a similar environment.
