About Kushti Bok

Kushti Bok is a Dorset-based charity that aims to give a voice to the Gypsy Roma and Traveller (GRT) communities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join our team and support the effective delivery of our advocacy project.

Job Summary

The Project Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our advocacy project, which aims to provide information, advice, and support to GRT communities in Dorset and Bournemouth Christchurch Poole. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the culture and needs of the GRT communities and will be able to develop and maintain operational systems to ensure the effective delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain operational systems to ensure the effective delivery of the project
  • Ensure the effective delivery of Kushti Bok's outputs and outcomes under the TNLCF advocacy project
  • Seek funding for and/or manage other projects
  • Liaise and work effectively with members, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Encourage and support volunteer involvement

Requirements

  • Understanding of the culture and needs of the GRT communities
  • Previous experience of office management and coordination
  • Good communications skills, oral and written
  • Good numeracy skills and experience of financial reporting
  • Ability to set up systems to collect data, monitor progress, and produce reports
  • Ability to monitor and maintain own standards and willingness to attend relevant training
  • Flexible approach and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Experience of working with volunteers
  • Access to own transport
