Role Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the upkeep and repair of the premises, overseeing minor projects within the site, and ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations.
The key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and hygienic environment for all residents and visitors.
- Keeping accurate records and reports related to site maintenance.
- Conducting regular audits of quality systems as required.
- Performing inspections and addressing any work from contractors that does not meet required standards.
- Ensuring adherence to national regulations and inspection standards relevant to the establishment.
- Managing maintenance workloads effectively and proactively.
- Collaborating with the Regional Facilities Manager on larger projects and seeking guidance on technical matters.
- Identifying improvement projects that enhance the functionality and efficiency of the facility.
- Ensuring all projects are completed on schedule and that areas occupied by contractors are left in excellent condition.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of building and maintenance practices.
- Experience in compliance and record-keeping.
- A background in a trade is preferred but not mandatory.
