SEN Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team at an outstanding mainstream primary school in Hackney. The successful candidate will have a drive and passion for supporting pupils with Autism, working alongside the Assistant Headteachers and SENCO to provide exceptional support.

The school has a specialist SEN unit on site and a small class size of 40 pupils with EHCP's, with Autism being the main diagnosis. As a SEN Teacher, you will be leading small groups and interventions of 2-3 pupils at a time, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility. The school offers a stable and supportive environment, with a highly regarded Headteacher and a passionate and friendly team. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of pupils and develop your skills and expertise in supporting students with Autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with Autism in a mainstream primary school setting
  • Lead small groups and interventions of 2-3 pupils at a time
  • Work alongside the Assistant Headteachers and SENCO to provide exceptional support
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to meet the individual needs of pupils

Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status
  • Primary teaching experience with a focus on SEN and Autism
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a large team
  • Good or Outstanding lesson observation grades
