Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Salaried GP to work in our Wokingham Medical Centre, with a minimum of 6-8 sessions per week, including Thursday and Friday. The successful candidate will be passionate about patient care and will work closely with our team to deliver innovative and high-quality care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care through regular appointments, home visits, and general administration.
  • Manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting.
  • Prescribe medication and treatments in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary.
  • Collect and record data for audit purposes, including QOF data and other relevant information.
  • Participate in the development of computer-based patient records and contribute to the summarising of patient records and Read-Coding patient data.
  • Attend training and events organised by the practice or other agencies, as required.
  • Support colleagues with the smooth running of the surgery and participate in a share of Duty Doctor responsibilities.
Personal and Professional Development
  • Participate in an annual individual performance review and take responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and/or professional development.
  • Take responsibility for own development, learning, and performance and demonstrate skills and activities to others who are undertaking similar work.
  • Participate in audit and contribute to the evaluation and improvement of patient care.
Contribution to the Implementation of Services
  • Apply practice/CQC policies, standards, and guidance.
  • Discuss with other members of the team how the policies, standards, and guidelines will affect own work.
  • Attend and contribute to practice meetings and MDTs to review, assess, and improve the quality of care and learn from adverse incidents.
Requirements
  • GMC registered.
  • CCST for primary care in the UK.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • MRCGP (desirable).
  • On the UK performers list for primary care.
  • Current valid driving licence/access to a car.
