Electroplating Technician Role

We are seeking an experienced Electroplating Technician to join our team in Hythe, Kent. As a key member of our sub-contract component and assembly service, you will be responsible for overseeing the electroplating processes and managing the effluent plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse and monitor chemical solutions within the plating department to ensure optimal results.
  • Implement and manage visual controls for plating processes to maintain high-quality output.
  • Conduct sampling and analysis for the Effluent Plant process to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor all plating activities and maintain the effluent plant operations to prevent downtime.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the plating process and plan plating activities accordingly to meet production demands.
  • Identify and troubleshoot plating-related problems to ensure high-quality output and minimize waste.
Requirements:
  • Technical education with a focus on Electro Plating or a related field.
  • Qualification in Health & Safety is highly desirable.
  • Ability to carry out and review risk assessments, including COSHH.
  • Strong people management skills to lead a team of technicians.
  • Analytical and methodical approach with a knack for problem-solving to resolve complex issues.
  • Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
