Job Overview

CSG Talent is partnering with a leading advanced Battery Materials company in the UK to build their Electrochemist teams. The company is focused on developing and optimizing silicon-based anode materials for improved battery performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret electrochemical data to guide material improvements and optimize battery performance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including chemists, engineers, and manufacturing specialists, to develop and scale up laboratory developments to commercial production.
  • Contribute to research projects aimed at increasing battery energy density and cycle life, and stay current with the latest advancements in battery technology and materials science.
  • Participate in collaborative research initiatives with industry and academic partners to drive innovation and growth.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in electrochemistry, materials science, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in lithium-ion battery research and development, particularly related to anode materials.
  • Expertise in electrode processing, cell design, fabrication, testing, and electrochemical analysis.
  • Familiarity with silicon-based anode materials and their integration into battery cells.
  • Knowledge of battery material characterization techniques and analytical methods.
  • Experience with scaling up battery materials from lab to commercial production.
