Graduate Business Analyst Role

Join National Grid plc as a Graduate Business Analyst and contribute to the development of strategic infrastructure projects that connect clean, low-carbon power to the transmission network in England and Wales.

About the Role

As a Graduate Business Analyst, you will play a vital part in ensuring the construction of appropriate infrastructure to achieve net zero as rapidly as possible. You will evaluate options, incorporate societal impact during project development, and adopt innovative approaches to expedite project completion.

  • Develop robust investment cases for projects, facilitating informed decision-making and securing necessary resources to advance infrastructure development in line with net zero objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of commercial pathways, aligning with the company's strategic objectives and industry trends.
Our Graduate Programme

As part of our 18-month graduate programme, you will have a tailored development pathway to support your growth as a business analyst. You will attend in-person and virtual development sessions, equipping you with essential skills required for success in your role. You will also have access to 121 coaching, mentorship, and regular feedback to ensure your personal and professional development.

What You'll Get in Return

We offer a competitive starting salary of £34,895, a £2,000 bonus upon joining, and a £2,400 payment upon successful completion of the programme. You will also receive 26 days of holiday, a cost of living allowance, and up to £200 per month accommodation allowance as you move around the business.

We believe in the importance of getting on-the-job experience and will provide you with three 6-month placements across the UK, designed to deepen your understanding of your speciality and broaden your knowledge of our business.

To be eligible to apply for this role, candidates must be able to demonstrate that they will have the legal right to work in the UK for the duration of the graduate programme.
