Position Overview

Within our Therapeutic Apheresis Services (TAS) division, we administer life-saving procedures such as Plasma Exchange, Red Cell Exchange, Stem Cell Harvest, and CAR-T Cell Harvest to patients across various age groups.
We operate in multiple regions nationwide, addressing a range of conditions including Sickle Cell Disorder, Haematological Oncology, Renal, and Neurological Disorders. Our team is highly skilled, providing expert care to a diverse patient demographic.
No previous experience in Apheresis is required. We offer a comprehensive 12-week training program that includes both educational and practical components.
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Apheresis Nurse, you will work closely with the Lead Nurse to provide clinical care to patients and donors. In a supportive team environment, you will be responsible for individual patient care, with opportunities to develop your leadership, management, and clinical expertise. Your primary duties will include:
- Executing therapeutic apheresis procedures utilizing advanced technology.
- Delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients and donors in collaboration with your team.
- Participating in international studies, local audits, and research initiatives to improve clinical practices.
- Providing expert and compassionate apheresis treatments within our TAS Unit and assisting neighboring healthcare facilities.
- Serving as Lead Nurse when necessary to ensure effective unit leadership.
- Engaging in a 24-hour on-call rotation for emergency treatments.

Required Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration (RN1 or RNA) and relevant post-registration experience.
- Degree in a clinical field or equivalent post-registration experience/qualification.
- Recent evidence of post-registration educational or learning activities.
- Awareness of current nursing challenges.
- Teaching/assessment qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of continuous professional development.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for outreach services.
Required Experience
Essential
- Extensive clinical experience in an acute care setting.
- Mentoring experience in a clinical context.
- Demonstrated ability to identify areas for clinical and service improvement.
- Understanding of clinical effectiveness and best practice principles.
- Familiarity with patient safety initiatives, clinical governance, and risk management.
- Experience with medical devices and technology.
