Location: Hackney, London

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Special Needs Education Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Hackney. As a Special Needs Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Working in class and also with small groups of students, under the guidance of the school SEN co-ordinator
  • Collaborating with a skilled team of educators to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with the implementation of individualised education plans
  • Providing additional support to students during lessons

Requirements:

  • A graduate degree or equivalent qualification
  • Some experience of working with students or young people with special needs
  • Strong work ethic and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
