Position: Special Educational Needs Instructor - Autism

Compensation: Up to £44,000 per annum based on experience

Contract Type: Permanent; Term Time Only

Working Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday

We are in search of Special Educational Needs Instructors who adopt a therapeutic approach to teaching and learning. Candidates with a background in Early Years and Primary Education are encouraged to apply, provided they are open to teaching students across various age groups. Experience working with Autistic learners and a willingness to lead curriculum areas are essential. We seek individuals who share our mission to empower vulnerable young people in the UK, helping them to thrive and navigate their paths in life.

Service Overview

Our institution offers a comprehensive and relevant curriculum tailored for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 years who face Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges.

We take full advantage of our beautiful surroundings, promoting a love for outdoor learning through activities such as forest school, farm experiences, and equestrian activities. Our school is conveniently located for easy access from various surrounding towns and villages.

Job Responsibilities

Your key duties will include:

  • Delivering a diverse range of subjects
  • Preparing, planning, and assessing educational sessions while staying informed about curriculum developments
  • Creating and implementing individualized education plans, assessing educational progress, and setting challenging yet attainable goals
  • Building positive relationships with all students to foster their interest and engagement in learning
  • Establishing a stimulating and purposeful environment that promotes learning beyond traditional classroom settings

Essential Qualifications:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience teaching a variety of subjects at a good or outstanding level
  • Awareness of current educational issues regarding practices, processes, and curriculum
