Job Title: Early Years Practitioner - Part Time

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Bright Horizons Surbiton Day Nursery and Preschool. This is a part-time position, with the opportunity to work three or four days per week, Tuesday to Thursday, and the option to add a Monday or Friday if desired.

About the Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for planning, creating, and implementing engaging activities for children, tailored to their individual needs and development goals. You will also develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, promoting child welfare, protection, health, and safety, and ensuring a positive and safe environment for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality educational programs for children aged 0-5 years
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children, adhering to safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and safe environment
Requirements
  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a nursery or early years setting
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for children
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and legislative requirements for working with children
