About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team at Royal Mail's Midlands Parcel Super Hub. As a key member of our critical engineering maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the availability and performance of automation assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance
  • Identify the root cause of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions to meet operational processing requirements
  • Monitor equipment performance and improve automation outputs in collaboration with operational stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects, from conception to implementation, for machinery in the Hub Mail Centre
Requirements
  • Minimum ONC Electrical Engineering NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Understanding of Health & Safety legislation
  • First-hand experience of maintaining automation equipment, ideally Programme Logic Controllers (PLC)
  • Flexible approach and ability to communicate complex issues effectively
