Job Summary
Massenhove Recruitment is seeking an experienced Liability Claims Handler to join our growing Casualty team. This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate working as part of a dedicated team providing a first-class proactive claims handling service to major clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaison with Insurers, Policyholders, and Brokers to ensure seamless communication and efficient claims resolution.
- Investigation of allocated claims from the desk, or via referral to a field adjuster for site investigation where appropriate.
- Obtaining all necessary evidence and relevant documentation to support claims resolution.
- Determining appropriate actions for the resolution of the case, including negotiation of settlements within agreed authority limits.
- Preparation of detailed reports, providing advice on policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics.
- Corresponding with all parties professionally to proactively progress the case to conclusion.
- Maintaining a proper reserve at all times by regular review.
- Staying up-to-date on technical changes relevant to the role, including participating in training programs facilitated by the company.
Requirements
- Experience handling Clinical Negligence, EL & PL claims is essential.
- Knowledge of how to value an injury claim.
- Knowledge of reserving philosophies desirable.
- Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and the Claims Portal.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Excellent customer service.
