About the Role

Emirates NBD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead - Business Risk and Control to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the assessment, identification, mitigation, and oversight of risks across our Group COO and Group CHRO Departments and Units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Risk Management Strategies: Design and implement risk management strategies and frameworks for GCOO and GCHRO Departments and Units, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Operational Risk Management: Consolidate the assessment, identification, prioritization, and oversight of all GCOO and GCHRO Operational Risk Exposure, developing risk mitigation plans and ensuring effective implementation.
  • Control Frameworks: Design and implement Control Frameworks to ensure compliance, conducting regular reviews to ensure effectiveness.
  • Reporting and Communication: Monitor and report on Risk Status, escalating significant risks to GCOO and GCHRO Senior Leadership as required, and prepare and present regular GCOO and GCHRO Risk and Control Reports.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Compliance, Internal Audit, and Operational Risk to ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational standards, building and maintaining strong relationships with Internal and External Stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field; Master's Degree or MBA preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Risk Management and Control, with at least 5 years in a Senior Leadership Role, managing Risk and Control Environment for large-scale, complex programs in a corporate environment.
  • Skills: Strong Risk Management and Analytical Skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, ability to manage multiple priorities, resilience working under pressure, and strong Stakeholder Management and negotiation skills.
