Neurologist with Expertise in Epilepsy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Neurologist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our neurology department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our neurology services.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver a mix of general neurology clinics and sub-specialty clinics, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and outcomes.
- Contribute to the delivery of teaching and training to students at Nottingham University Medical School, as well as to the teaching, training, and supervision of Specialist Trainees in Neurology.
- Participate in the Multi-disciplinary handover meeting every Thursday morning, and contribute to the provision of Hyper-Acute Neurology Unit (HANU) services.
- Full GMC Registration
- Eligible to be included on the specialist register (or CCT expected within 6 months)
- MRCP (UK) or equivalent CCT/CESR or European Right to Work
- Four years training in neurology at SpR/ST level or equivalent
- Evidenced clinical skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with patients, their families, and other health professionals
- Further higher training or qualification (MD or PhD)
- Development of sub-specialty interest to complement the department
- Specific training in communication skills, patient safety, and human factors
- Higher management degree or qualification or training
- Experience of change management
- Original research publications
- Higher teaching degree or qualification or training
